An ultra-high gain distortion pedal that produces distortion that goes beyond metal and hardcore sounds.
TightMetal came out early on while discussing various ideas with Mark Kloeppel, guitarist for the death grind band Misery Index.
Like the original TightDrive pedal, the Tight control allows you to freely control the low end, from smooth to thick, tight to aggressive, and more, depending on your picking and guitar style.
High-gain tube amps are made by connecting numerous vacuum tube stages. Similarly, TightMetal is a TiAmptweaker TightMetal ST is a pedal that greatly improves operability by equipping the TightMetal, a high-quality high-gain metal distortion pedal that is popular worldwide for creating the finest metal and hardcore crunch tones, with Amptweaker's unique SideTrak effect loop.
The SideTrak effect loop is a loop that automatically turns on when the main unit's effects are in bypass mode, allowing you to switch between multiple effects and routings with a single foot switch on the TightMetal ST. By using it in conjunction with the effect loop that is linked to the effect ON/OFF, which was also installed in the original TightMetal, TightMetal ST plays a role as the core of the system.
In addition, a new Gain switch has been added while keeping the tone of the TightMetal that has received worldwide acclaim. You can switch between high gain mode and low gain mode. This switch allows you to instantly switch between modern high gain tone and old school metal tone.
● What is TightMetal
TightMetal evolves the overdrive platform of TightDrive and TightBoost, creating a distortion sound that goes beyond metal and hardcore sounds, and the Tight control allows you to control the ""tightness"" of the tone.
TightMetal came out early on while discussing various ideas with Mark Kloeppel, guitarist of the death grind band ""Misery Index"".
The Tight control allows you to freely control the low end, and you can freely set it to suit your picking and guitar style, from smooth to thick sound, tight to aggressive.
High-gain tube amps are made by connecting a number of vacuum tube stages. Similarly, TightMetal is based on TightDrive, with an additional amplification stage added.
The result is a pedal that makes it easy to create a very thick, heavy distortion sound.
With TightMetal, you can easily get the big sound of a stack amp even on the clean channel of a small combo amp.
After discussions with various players, including Mark Kloeppel, two switches were added to TightMetal.
This is for tone customization and improved playability.
By setting the Mid switch to the Thrash position, you can get a more traditional metal rhythm sound by strongly cutting the midrange.
The Gate switch is a noise gate switch. By setting it to the Chomp position, the noise gate is activated. It is effective for very fast riffs and mute play.
● Controls
Volume: This is the master volume that adjusts the output volume.
Tone: Adjusts the high frequency output. You can make the highs stronger or balance them with the lows.
Gain: Adjusts distortion. Supports everything from vintage tones to modern high gain.
Tight: Set it high for an aggressive attack, or low for thick distortion.
Thrash switch: Set it to the Mid side to create an old-school metal tone with a strong cut in the midrange.
Gate switch: Switches the noise gate on/off. Chomp is on. The noise gate is automatically adjusted according to the gain setting.
Gain switch: Switches between high gain mode and low gain mode. High is high gain mode. Switches between modern high gain tone and old-school metal tone.
●Effect loop
TightMetal ST is equipped with two effect loops.
The SEND/RETURN jack at the back of the unit can be used as an effect loop that is turned on/off in sync with the TightMetal ST's effect ON/OFF. This effect loop can be placed either before or after the TightMetal ST with the Pre/Post switch on the bottom.
The effect loop on the side is Amptweaker's unique SideTrak effect loop, which is OFF when the FatMetal unit is ON and ON when it is OFF.
The SideTrak effect loop, symbolized by the name ""ST"", can be switched between ideal clean and distortion with a single switch by inserting effects such as compressors and choruses that you want to use in situations where you do not use distortion, and you can switch between distortion such as rhythm and lead with a single switch by inserting other distortion here.
You can also separate the amp for clean and distortion by using only the Send terminal of the SideTrak.
The standard effect loop, which is linked to the ON/OFF of the pedal, can be connected before or after the effect with the Pre/Post switch, and is also equipped with functions such as an LED that illuminates the knob when the adapter is powered, a battery ON/OFF switch, and a battery box that does not require a driver.
・How to use the effect loop
