A 2-foot switch version of the famous TightDrive

After completing the development of the TightMetal Pro and BigRock Pro, Amptweaker began developing a two-footswitch version of their most famous model, the TightDrive.
The Amptweaker TightDrive Pro is the result of this. With many switches, it covers all the tones of the TightDrive while providing even more tone variation and operability. By turning off the newly added Gain switch, you can reach a transparent overdrive tone. With unity gain as the default, it can also be used as a transparent boost pedal.
Unlike many ""boosted overdrives,"" the TightDrive Pro has two built-in boosts. One is a pre-boost and the other is a post-boost. You can freely boost the gain and volume, and create the perfect tone for your lead part. This boost, which can be controlled with the Boost Volume and Boost Gain knobs, can also be set to lower the volume, so you can control the volume balance by boosting the gain strongly while turning the boost ON/OFF. In addition, the MidBoost button allows you to bring the guitar tone forward strongly in the ensemble when boosting.

By setting the Edge switch to Smooth mode, the TightDrive Pro can cut the high-end edge and obtain a warm tone. Conversely, if this switch is OFF, you can create a clear and distinct tone. Try setting it to match your actual guitar tone.
The TightDrive Pro also has two Fat switches, which allow you to individually set the normal tone and boost tone to a thicker tone with a little compression. In addition, the added 3-band EQ provides a wider range of tones than the original TightDrive. You can also create a traditional British stack tone by sliding the Mid switch to the PlexEQ side. In addition, it is equipped with a newly evolved ""Cleaner"" noise gate, which reduces noise while maintaining a clean tone. If you slide the Noise switch to the Gate side, the noise gate will be applied, and if you slide it to the opposite side, the gate will not be applied.

The TightDrive Pro also has an effects loop that is familiar from the Amptweaker pedal. Like the TightMetal Pro and BigRock Pro, the three effect loops allow for flexible operation. The loops are a universal loop that is linked to the ON/OFF of the effect, a boost loop that is linked to the ON/OFF of the Boost, and a SideTrak loop that is only turned on when the effect is OFF.

For example, if you want to apply a compressor or chorus when using a clean tone, or if you want to switch between another distortion pedal and the TightDrive Pro in one shot, connect it to the SideTrak loop. If you use it like a built-in AB box, you can also separate the amp when the effect is OFF and ON.
The universal loop and boost loop, which are active when the effect is ON and when the boost is ON, can be individually switched to either the pre (front stage) or post (rear stage) of the effect circuit by the internal switch.

The TightDrive Pro can be operated at 18V not only when it is powered by an adapter but also when it is powered by batteries. Two batteries can be placed inside, and the operating voltage can be selected by the internal switch. The battery box is magnetic, so no tools are required to open and close it. When powered by an adapter, it can be operated at 9V (EPA-2000 recommended) or 18V (RPA-1000 recommended). 9V and 18V operation is like the difference between a 50W and a 100W amplifier. When powered by an adapter, the LEDs are always lit up on the knobs, so you can see the settings at a glance. There is also a power switch behind the row of knobs, so you can reduce battery consumption even if you install it on the board with the batteries still inserted. ●Features
