Amptweaker's first modulation pedal

SwirlPool is reminiscent of the unique modulation that was installed in 60's amplifiers, which is a mixture of tremolo and vibrato. SwirlPool creates countless modulations based on that tone. When you touch SwirlPool, you may feel like you are developing a completely new modulation pedal.

The two foot switches turn the effect on/off and switch modes. The two modes have the same Level and Tremolo controls, but you can set the Speed and Vibe controls separately and switch instantly with the foot switch. This allows you to set the effect for each, and you can use mode 1 as tremolo and mode 2 as vibrato.

Turn the Vibe control to the minimum to create tremolo. The tremolo control creates a gentle sway, and turning the Tremolo switch on creates a violent, convulsive tremolo. By combining this with the Vibe control, you can create anything from a pleasant singing vibrato to an extreme tone with intense pitch shifting.

The switches under each knob allow for more precise sound creation.
Turning the Tone switch on creates a more intense, undulating vibrato. The two Sync switches shift the phase of the tremolo and vibrato to create a rotary speaker-like effect.

Combining these, you can create a literally endless number of tremolos, vibratos, and phaser-like effects that have been popular since the 60s and 70s.

The Volume control makes it easy to balance the volume when bypassed and when the effect is on.

Also, turning the Ramp switch on makes the transition between Mode 1 and Mode 2 smoother and more interesting. For example, if you switch from Mode 1 to Mode 2 with the Vibe control set to maximum in Mode 1 and the Vibe set to minimum in Mode 2, the vibrato will gradually disappear and the speed of the oscillation will change to the speed set in Mode 2!



Like other Amptweaker pedals, SwirlPool is equipped with a pre/post selectable effects loop. In addition, there is another loop. This loop is only used in mode 2, and allows you to add your favorite effect before the SwirlPool effect. It is useful for using mode 2 like a booster or adding other modulation to create crazy effects.
