The Hungry Robot Pedals Wash V2 Tap Tempo is a spatial pedal that combines delay and reverb effects in one. The V2 version has a more compact body and a top-mounted jack, making it easy to install on a pedal board.
It is based on an analog-like tap tempo delay that allows you to set a delay time of over 1000ms. It can be used as a standalone delay pedal or combined with the ""wash circuit"".
The wash circuit is the biggest feature of Wash V2 Tap Tempo. It adds reverb to the signal and passes it through a complex internal feedback loop. It can create multi-head disk echoes and ""ripple effects"". In addition, you can get a beautiful ""wash"" sound by connecting reverb and delay in series. Connecting multiple spatial pedals can sometimes muddy the resolution of the sound, but Wash creates these effects while maintaining the resolution of the original signal.
Many ""infinite"" reverbs and delays extend the decay of the reverberation to infinity, but Wash V2 Tap Tempo responds to your playing and extends the sound indefinitely, achieving dynamic expression.
The Ripple knob controls the ripple effect. This is an effect where the delay slowly turns into a reverb.
The Resonance knob tweaks the resonance of the wash.
The Wash knob in the middle is the mix/level control for the wash.

■Tips for use
Wash is a great pedal for making ""ambient pads"". A dreamy space that naturally lies behind the guitar signal. The delay side is straightforward and easy to use.
In the wash circuit, the Ripple knob changes the delay repeats to reverberation. Turning this knob down will give you a ""delay-like"" sound. Turning it up will give you an ambient tone.
The Resonance knob sets how long the wash effect stays in the mix. This knob will oscillate if you overdo it. It's not a matter of setting it higher. Find a good spot to set it in conjunction with the D.Feedback and Rippile knobs.
The Wash knob adjusts the overall volume of the wash effect. Like the Resonance knob, it's not a matter of setting it higher, but rather depending on the sound you want. At maximum, it can be set to the same volume as the dry signal.
The Tap Tempo module sets the time with two taps, but you can set a stable tempo by tapping 4-5 times. This module sets the delay time 1 second after the actual tap.
*Please use a standard center negative DC9V adapter for powering. Batteries cannot be used. Current consumption is 93mA.
