Focusing on the sound of Yamah's CS family of analog synthesizers, released between 1979 and 1984, known for their exceptional and distinctive sound, UVI has created a software instrument that inherits the sound of the CS-70M, CS-40M, CS-20M, and CS-01.

The UVI CS-M features a dual-layer architecture, with two presets/layers and quick tone switching, providing a wide range of sounds and excellent operability. The layers offer pre-programmed presets of basic oscillator waveforms and noise. All of these waveforms are sampled from the original machines. The UVI development team has succeeded in preserving the wonderful sound and natural texture of these models in the CS-M. Every waveform of the included models has been meticulously recorded. The unison and ensemble sounds are particularly noteworthy.
