Variations

These nickel bass strings feature DR's proprietary ""K3"" coating, which creates a blue glow when exposed to light. Available in gauges from 30-125, these are a standard model for 6-string basses. Not only do they have a striking appearance, but they also boast greater output and a clearer sound with fewer unwanted overtones than non-coated strings. They also offer superior corrosion resistance and last longer than regular strings.

■Controls
・GAIN: Adjusts the amplification of the preamp input signal
・BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE: Classic 3-band passive EQ
・MASTER: Adjusts the overall volume
・VOLUME: Adjusts the volume of the signal output from the PHONES and BALANCED OUT (MASTER and VOLUME controls can be operated independently)
・HI: Switch to select the high-frequency component of the signal
　　+ position emphasizes high frequencies and attack
　　- position provides a milder sound
　　Neutral position has no effect on the signal.
・GND Switch: Lifts the ground of the BALANCED OUT jack to avoid ground loop noise.
(Try flipping the switch if you hear hum around 50Hz.)
-CAB switch: Turns the cabinet simulator on/off.
In the upper position, the SUNN 200s (2x15) IR is used.
In the lower position, the AMPEG SVT 810E (8x10) IR is used.
In the center position, the cabinet simulator is not applied.
(The cabinet simulator is only applied to the BALANCED OUT and PHONES jacks. The cabinet simulator is not applied to the OUT jacks.)
■IN/OUT
-IN: Jack for connecting an instrument.
-THRU: Outputs the input signal directly. The input signal is buffered.
-SEND: Outputs the signal after passing through EQ and can be used as the SEND jack for the effects loop or as a second output.
-RETURN: Jack that returns the signal output from SEND, passed through the effects loop, to the preamp.
-OUT: Overall main output. Designed for direct connection to a power amplifier.
・AUX IN: 1/8-inch stereo mini jack input. Inputs a signal from an external sound source. The signal from this jack is output only from the headphone output.
・PHONES: 1/8-inch stereo mini jack headphone output
・BALANCED OUT: Balanced output on an XLR connector
