洗練されたデザインのワイヤレス・スピーカー等を手掛けるBang & Olufsen（バング・アンド・オルフセン）のワイヤレス・イヤホン「BeoPlay H5」。お洒落なデザインについ目がいきますが、注目すべき推しポイントは、有名ブランドのイヤホンにも劣らない、音質の良さ。ワイヤレスでもCDと同等品質のサウンドが楽しめるapt-Xコーデックに対応し、アンドロイド端末のスマートフォン等で高音質なB&Oサウンドを楽しめます。音にうるさいイヤホン・ヘッドホン好きにはaptXは、ワイヤレス・イヤホンの必須項目。もちろん、AACにも対応しているのでiPhoneにももちろん対応。ヘッドホン端子がなくなったiPhone7でも安心して使用できます。気になる音質ですが、低音はたっぷりとした厚みで、高音は艶っぽくスッキリとした聴きやすい音質。ワイヤレスでもホームシアターのように立体的で迫力あるサウンドが楽しめます。
さらに、使い勝手の良さも「BeoPlay H5」の推しポイント。トレッキング・シューズの靴紐のような布巻きケーブルを採用し、タッチノイズもかなり抑えられていて、歩いていてもタッチノイズ特有のガサガサッというノイズが気になりません。よじれにも強く、バッグにクシャクシャとしまっていても、取り出すとケーブルがスッと真っ直ぐ元通りになります。
