The BC TC-RF Tone Capsule, a dedicated unit for bringing Robben Ford's sound to your Blues Cube, delivers Robben Ford's signature blues/fusion sound. Simply attach it to the back of your Blues Cube, which meticulously recreates the exquisite tone and feel of a tube amp using Tube Logic technology.

Robben and I meticulously tuned the tone and response of each channel. It delivers sweet, supple lead tones and clean tones that are both thick and clear.

まるで本物の真空管のようなビジュアル。実は、Blues Cubeアンプ達と組み合わせることにより、アンプの特性を変化させることが可能なトーンカプセルという画期的なデバイスなんです。その中でも、今回チェックしたBC TC-RFは、Robben FordがBlues Cubeに求めた+αの部分を追加してくれるモデル。Robben Ford自身が開発に関わっているため、その信頼性も高いですね。ファンの方だけでなく、クリーンチャンネルをメインとするギタリストに是非お試しいただきたいアイテムです。

より上質な真空管アンプになります

このトーンカプセルを装着すると、デフォルトよりも低音がいっそう経調され、より真空管アンプに近づいた音になります。しかし、本物の真空管アンプのようにボリュームを上げて音がつぶれてしまうことはなく、クリーンもクランチも常に明瞭さを保っています。
クリーンは本人のテレキャスターを模したサウンドで、クリーンのボリュームを上げると真空管の歪んだクリーンになり、その飽和感が気持ちいいです。その状態ではシングルコイルではクリーンを保っていますが、P-90やハムバッカーでは若干歪みました。
クランチチャンネルは本人のレスポールを模したサウンドで、ハムバッカーで弾くとゲインの量でクランチからオーバードライブまで歪みます。シングルで弾くとクランチまでしか歪ません。ダンブルクローンアンプのようなスクリーミングする歪ではなく、クリーンからの変化がとても自然な歪です。
基本ブルースアンプですが、トレブル12、ミドル11、ベース10で設定すると、非常に明瞭でまろやかな音が出て、フルアコにも合います。
