The PQL-5000-AG features a Fender-style TUSQ XL nut with a slotted, curved bottom and an aged finish. TUSQ XL releases Teflon micromolecules as the string vibrates, minimizing string friction and minimizing tuning drift. This results in crystal-clear tone and improved sustain.

The TUSQ XL series maintains accurate tuning longer than any other synthetic resin nut, such as graphite or plastic. It also produces a crystal-clear tone and ultimately improves sustain. The reliability of TUSQ XL is evidenced by its use by guitar manufacturers worldwide.
When the string vibrates, TUSQ XL releases Teflon micromolecules. These molecules coat the TUSQ XL, minimizing string friction and reducing tuning drift. These Teflon molecules are released from the nut, so they never disappear or get lost, and their lubricating effect is always maintained.
