OTO MACHINES BIM is a distinctive, studio-quality desktop reverb that recreates the classic reverb units of the early studios, such as the EMT250 and Lexicon 224.
■OVERVIEW
BAM is a unique reverb effect processor that recreates the thick, bold, and colorful sound of digital reverb units from the late 1970s and early 1980s (such as the EMT250 and Lexicon 224). While many sound engineers, producers, and musicians are rediscovering the warm, musical, and fat sound of those early-era equipment in modern recording, OTO MACHINES has rediscovered the technology of that time and recreated these legendary reverb units as a musician-friendly, professional desktop device.
The technology used in BAM is nearly identical to that used in early digital reverb units. OTO MACHINES BAM's distinctive vintage digital reverb sound is created by combining hardware elements such as 16-bit converters, 20-bit fixed-point processing, analog filtering technology, and input transformers with seven carefully selected reverb algorithms.
BAM's hardware-based sound quality and texture, which plug-ins and software can never replicate, are sure to be of great use in your music production environment and performance. Of course, its performance can also be used as pro audio hardware for studio recording. While many vintage digital reverbs have lost their modern audio quality, BAM reliably reproduces the sound and texture of the time on your desktop.
It also offers added functionality for modern music production, such as MIDI control and 36 user presets.
