Carl Martin 8-loop programmable switcher with simple operation
Carl Martin is a world-renowned Danish brand of analog pedal effects. Its loyal fans include European professionals, and it's also popular among sound-conscious Japanese guitarists.
Now, we're introducing the OCTA-SWITCH MK3, a programmable switcher with eight loops.
Like the company's previous OCTA-SWITCH series, it employs a simple programming method using DIP switches and has been successfully downsized to fit easily into effects boards.
○OCTA-SWITCH MK3 Main Features and Specifications
Even in this age of multi-effects, guitarists who are particular about sound still use a variety of their favorite pedal effects. The more effects they have, the more useful a programmable switcher becomes.
The newly released OCTA-SWITCH MK3 features eight true bypass loops, can store eight on/off settings, and can be switched with a footswitch.
And what's more, it's significantly smaller in size, making it easy to incorporate into effects boards.
*Loop 8 only has a mono send/stereo return (TRS jack)

The unit's greatest feature is its memory system. It does not use the complex hierarchical menus found in digital models. Each memory bank simply has a DIP switch for on/off setting. The status of each loop is easily visible, indicated by a blue LED corresponding to the loop terminal.
Two external switch jacks are also provided in addition to the loops. These can be used for switching amplifier channels, etc. This program also uses simple DIP switch settings.
The guitar input is also equipped with a buffer circuit to reduce the high-end drop that can occur when using long shielded cables on large stages. This buffer circuit can be turned off, allowing for true bypass operation.
In addition to the memory bank switch, a separate switch is provided to bypass the entire unit. This is convenient for achieving clean sounds without having to create a bypass setting memory.
