■Switch between two amp heads by connecting them to one cabinet
Headbone is a switcher that connects two amp heads to one cabinet and switches between them. You can use a Marshall for rhythm guitar and a Mesa/Boogie for solos. You'll deliver the best performance on stage and in the studio.
■Superior sound quality with Class A circuitry
This unit boasts exceptional sound quality thanks to its 100% discrete Class A circuitry, and transformer isolation eliminates ground loop issues. The relay circuit, which combines an optocoupler and a load resistor, is digitally controlled for switching.
■Safely switch between two amp heads
With the press of a switch, the guitar signal is instantly switched to the other amp head, disconnecting the original head's speaker and connecting it to the load resistor, reconnecting the other head to the speaker, and then outputting the guitar sound. In the unlikely event that the unit loses power, a safe mode is activated that automatically disconnects the guitar input.
■ Remote control with an external footswitch
If you want to reduce cable clutter on stage, you can also operate the unit with an external remote switch (sold separately). In addition to a standard footswitch, it can also be controlled with a MIDI switching system. This allows you to set up a system using short speaker cables.
You can use a latching footswitch with a 1/4-inch TS phone jack.
■ Two types of input: buffered or direct
If you're connecting a buffered device before this unit, use the direct input. If you're connecting a guitar directly, we recommend the buffered input. This unit's buffer circuit prevents noise and signal degradation.
