Artistを2台所有しています。
一台はRoland純正スピーカー、もう一台にはEMINENCEのEJ-1240をつけています。
TC-EJを装着して鳴らしてみる（セッティングは本人推奨の通り）と、音はずいぶん違います。
純正SPの方はｆ特的にエネルギーバランスが下の方へ寄っていて、なんとなく気になる歪み感が付きまとっている感じで、抜けも悪い。音量を上げるとましになっていくのですが、小音量では「ちがう」という印象が強い。
EMINENCEの方は、もう、まんまEJの音。最近の曲だとStratagemとかThe Fadeとかの感じです。高域強めのリバーブをちょっと深めにかければVenus Isleあたりの雰囲気も出ます。
クリーンも、TCのSCFをかけるとバッチリです。ハーフトーンが綺麗です。
ギターは63年製のストラト、リアにDimarzio Area’61、センター、フロントにArea’58です。
FenderのEJ Signatureをはじめ、いろんなピックアップを試しましたが、今の組み合わせが一番EＪっぽい音になるみたいで気に入っています。
この製品が素晴らしいのは、ピッキングアタックの再現が非常にうまくいっている点と、プレイフィールがとにかく気持ちがいいと
いうこと。
EJ好きには是非お勧めしたい。
