~ What are FretWraps ~
・ Gruv Gear's FretWraps, are a string damper / string mute accessory that is used by many musicians, including studio / session musicians and fret board tappers around the world.
・ FretWraps are used between nuts and pegs or directly over fingerboards.
・ When installed between the nut and the peg, they suppress unnecessary string resonance and overtones during performance to achieve a clear and tight sound.
・ Ideal for tapping when mounted on the fingerboard. Unwanted sounds and noises other than the strings being tapped can be cut.
・ By adjusting the pressure with the strap used for installation, you can also fine-tune the mute strength.
・ Slides up an down the neck for easy use.

ボリュートがあると・・・

YAMAHA TRB-JP2に使用。
ボリュートがあるので付けられるか心配で迷っていたが神バンドのBOHさんが大丈夫と言っていたので購入。ゴムの様に伸びる素材で確かに問題は無かったが、やはりフレットラップのミュートを使わない時にヘッド側にずらす時ボリュートがあると引っかかる。その点でマイナス1としました。
ミュートとしてはとても良い。ベルトで締め具合を調整できるので、しっかりミュートしたい時はきつく締め、ゆるく締めれば軽いミュートにもなる。
