TASCAM / DR-60DMK2

This is a linear PCM recorder for cameras with an integrated mixer. It features a slate tone function, making it easy to sync sounds during editing. When used with a DSLR (digital single-lens reflex camera) or video camera, it allows for higher quality video recording. It supports simultaneous recording of up to four channels, making it suitable for a variety of recording scenarios.

The microphone preamps that receive and amplify microphone input audio have a significant impact on the quality of the recorded audio. The DR-60DMKII features TASCAM's proprietary HDDA microphone preamps, carefully selected for their components. The discrete differential microphone amplifier circuit, constructed with components focused on audio quality, boasts an equivalent input noise level of -120dBu or better.

The AD converter that digitizes the analog signal also features a CIRRUS LOGIC device, the same as the DR series of dedicated linear PCM recorders. The audio amplified by the high-quality HDDA circuit is faithfully digitized.

The four-channel design allows for operation with ambience and speaker microphones, two gunshot microphones, and a stereo microphone. Channels 1 and 2, which feature XLR/TRS inputs, can operate as two mono or one stereo input for both input and recording, while channels 3 and 4 operate in stereo. Channels 1 and 2 can also be linked.

MONO/DUAL MONO: Ideal for recording only one performer.
STEREO/DUAL STEREO: Ideal for recording with a stereo microphone.
4CH: This mode is ideal for recording two performers with a stereo microphone, or two gunshot microphones with an ambient stereo microphone.

DUAL mode allows simultaneous recording at different levels, creating backup files in case of clipping due to excessive input.

The built-in mixer can mix a total of four channels: two XLR inputs with phantom power support and a stereo mini jack input. In addition to adjustable pan and level, it also features a limiter, a three-stage low-cut filter, and a delay that can compensate for microphone distance. In addition, it also features MS decoding, allowing you to use MS stereo microphones.
