""AURAL SONIC"" is designed based on the concept of ""sound-adjusting,"" which is completely different from traditional ""sound absorption and soundproofing.""
It attenuates only unnecessary mid-low range reverberations, leaving ""mid-high and high-frequency overtones"" intact. I think it gives a slightly ""live"" feel.
As for how to use it when recording:
When you set up the ""AURAL SONIC"" near the ""sound source,"" the sound travels more directly to the microphone, increasing density. (Since the amount of information increases, a high-sensitivity microphone is effective!)
When setting it up away from the ""sound source,"" it's effective to place it in a ""sound-reflecting location"" such as a corner of a room, one (or both) sides of a parallel surface, or a hard floor.
I bring several portable ""Pro-bo"" units to the recording site and use zippers to change the size and shape ""up, down, left, right."" By changing the settings relative to the ""sound source"" and trying out various things, I can create new sensations in ""sound quality, sound pressure, reverberation, etc."" It's a fresh and enjoyable process.
