""Aural Sonic"" is designed based on the concept of ""sound adjustment,"" which is completely different from traditional ""sound absorption"" and ""soundproofing.""
It attenuates unnecessary low-midrange reverberations while leaving the high-midrange and high-frequency overtones intact. I think it has a slightly ""live"" feel.

As for how to use it when recording:

When placing the AURAL SONIC close to the sound source, the sound travels more directly to the microphone, increasing density. (A high-sensitivity microphone is effective because it increases the amount of information!)

When placing it away from the sound source, it's effective to place it in a ""sound-reflecting area"" such as a corner of a room, one side (or both sides) of a parallel surface, or a hard floor.

I bring several portable Pro-bo units to recording locations and use zippers to change their size and shape up, down, left, and right. Changing the settings and trying out different things relative to the sound source creates new sensations in sound quality, sound pressure, reverberation, etc. It's a fresh and enjoyable process.
