The THETA's preamp section offers controls for gain, bass, midrange boost/cut, midrange sweep (300Hz-3kHz), treble, and level. It allows you to shape your sound before the high-gain channels, both clean and overdrive. The distortion control features two footswitchable gain controls, allowing you to set the tone from crunch to intense distortion, and allows you to control bass, midrange boost/cut, midrange sweep (300Hz-3kHz), treble, and level. The front of the preamp allows you to shape your sound before distortion, and then add the incredible distortion of the THETA's input section. The reason for this level of distortion is the internal Decimator G String II circuit, which tracks the input signal and provides over 80dB of noise reduction.

音はいいが使いにくさも

中古で買いました。
音は最高ですね。カラっとした感じで、ミドルパライコで結構キャラクター変えられます。クリーンはパキパキめがいいかな？
ノイズゲートはバイパスでも常時ON、スイッチは各チャンネルそれぞれ動作、インアウトの場所が逆、電源が交流（純正アダプターはプロビデンスのPEC2用。デカイ）とだめな点もありました。
ダメな点はどうやらフットスイッチ（ステレオジャック・ラッチタイプ）でどうにかできるようですが、スイッチャー向けでしょう。日本人ギタリストのMurashitaさんも、switch gizmo（サウンドハウスで扱ってます）で、同時押しをアサインしてチャンネルを同時に変えているようです。あとノイズゲートも、フットスイッチで初めてオンオフできる模様。
