Streichfett (German for butter or margarine) embodies the best of the ""string synthesizers"" that were all the rage in the 1970s and early '80s.
Streichfett is a compact tabletop instrument that brings to life the ""string synthesizer"" beloved worldwide from the 1970s and early 1980s. Its vintage sound, contrary to its modern appearance, creates the illusion of playing a 40-year-old movie soundtrack with your own hands. The rich, creamy sound of the string synthesizer, which even famous analog synthesizers cannot achieve, is still loved worldwide and sought after by many musicians. Streichfett is the definitive modern string synthesizer.
The world of vintage string synthesizers woven together by a dual sound engine
The Streichfett sound engine consists of two sections: the string section on the left side of the panel and the solo section on the right.
The string section is fully polyphonic with 128 voices, producing sounds with characteristics such as strings, brass, organ, and choir. The ensemble effect adds a soft, spacious, enveloping effect.
The solo section is polyphonic with 8 voices, producing percussive, powerful sounds like bass, electric piano, and clavinet. Turn the tremolo knob to add a sweet tremolo effect.
The sounds of these two sections can be blended using the balance knob in the center. Play each section independently or create a rich blend.
The effects section at the bottom left of the panel offers classic effects such as phaser and reverb, as well as an ""animation"" effect. This uses a dedicated LFO to modulate the string sound, bringing dramatic change to the sound.
The sounds you create can be saved and recalled using the memory section at the bottom right of the panel. 4 sounds x 3 banks, for a total of 12 sounds available at any time.
Everything you need in a string synthesizer.
Intuitive sound creation with a modern interface.
Vintage string synthesizers feature large bodies equipped with numerous switches and sliders. The Streichfett combines all the elements of a heavy, cumbersome vintage machine into a compact chassis with just the bare essentials and enough knobs and switches. The modern interface, which allows you to see everything at a glance, allows for quick and intuitive sound creation. Simply connect to a MIDI keyboard or sequencer, or to a computer via USB, and you can play those vintage sounds.
