MOTU / 16A

The 16A has 16 TRS analog inputs and outputs, plus two ADAT optical terminals, for a total of 32 inputs and 32 outputs. It can be used not only as a standard audio interface, but also as an input/output expansion and patch bay. Comes with a reassuring 3-year Sound House warranty!

・Computer I/O compatible with all connections
Equipped with both Thunderbolt and USB 2.0 (USB 3.0 compatible) ports for connection to a variety of computers and devices, and equipped with class-compliant firmware that runs with standard OS drivers. This allows use with most audio software.

・Onboard DSP mixing and effects
Equipped with a 48-input digital mixer. DSP processing is available for all 4-band EQs, gate and compressor, reverb, and 12 stereo buses on each channel, all in real time.

- Modeled vintage effects
- Features a compressor modeled after the legendary LA-2A and an EQ modeled after a British analog console.

- Excellent expandability and audio networking
- Adding a second unit is simple: connect it with a CAT5e cable. Connect additional units via the optional 6-port AVB Switcher switching hub. Any combination of the three models is possible.

- Audio networking up to 256 channels
- MOTU AVB allows you to build an audio network with up to 256 channels (128 inputs and outputs). A system can be built with simple wiring: connect the first unit to your PC via Thunderbolt, and the second unit via a CAT5e cable and switching hub. Audio routing is controlled via dedicated software or a web browser.

・Web App Control
AVB I/O allows mixing, device configuration, and even audio network routing to be performed using a web browser. Operation is possible from Mac and Windows computers, as well as tablets and smartphones connected via wireless LAN.

・Controllable via wireless LAN even when used standalone without a computer
MOTU AVB functions as a digital mixer on its own, but it can also be controlled via a network. Connections are possible via wired CAT5e or wireless LAN using a router such as Apple Airport.

・ADAT I/IO
The simple ADAT I/O connection allows for 16 channels of input and output between 44.1 and 48 kHz, and 8 channels of input and output between 88.2 and 96 kHz.
