CROWN / DCi 4|600N 4-Channel Power Amplifier

This high-quality 600W x 4 (8Ω) power amplifier is network-compatible and supports both low and high impedance outputs, making it ideal for audio equipment that requires efficient use of installation space.

The DCi Series Analog reduces the required power amplifier footprint in installations requiring multiple audio output lines. The highest-channel-count model, the DCi 8|300, features eight output channels, delivering 300W per channel (4Ω) for a total of 2,400W from a 2U chassis. Bridged mono output is also supported for even greater output. Each channel can be independently switched between low-impedance and high-impedance connections. Mixing these connection methods eliminates the need for a dedicated power amplifier. Furthermore, high-impedance connections allow direct drive of constant-voltage transmission lines, eliminating the need for an external transformer.

The DCi Series Analog minimizes power consumption and saves on electricity costs during operation. The amplifier section employs highly efficient Class D operation. The power supply section features a switching power supply and power factor correction (PFC) circuit, achieving class-leading low power consumption. Furthermore, low heat generation reduces the cost of air conditioning for cooling. The Auto Standby function also reduces standby power consumption to less than 1W. The amplifier automatically enters standby mode if no signal is received for 30 minutes or more. It can also be forced into standby mode via an external contact.

The DCi Series Analog utilizes our proprietary ""DriveCore"" integrated circuit at the heart of signal processing, improving reliability and sound quality. DriveCore integrates high-precision clocking, pulse width modulation, error amplification, feedback, and other functions into a single chip. This reduces the number of parts used by over 500 compared to our previous products, improving reliability over long-term use. At the same time, it achieves excellent transient response, accurate detail at low output, and precise low-frequency tracking at high output. A signal-to-noise ratio of over 108dB ensures superior sound quality.

The DCi Series Analog is equipped with various protection circuits to protect the amplifier and speakers from unexpected problems. Front-panel indicators provide detailed operational status information. A status signal is output from the rear panel for remote confirmation of normal operation. The input is equipped with a 21-stage attenuator. When using a high-impedance connection, the output voltage can be selected from 70V or 100V, and a 35Hz high-pass filter is automatically inserted. A variable-speed cooling fan is installed to effectively cool the inside of the unit.
