IK MULTIMEDIA / iRing Grey is a touchless controller that lets you control your music apps and effects on your iOS devices, such as iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, without touching them.

The new iRing detects your hand movements and uses them to control effects and other parameters in your music apps. Create amazing, dramatic musical effects in a way never before possible: simply by holding and moving your hand in front of your iOS device's front-facing camera.

iRing uses advanced patented image recognition, motion control, and precise positioning technology to control configurable parameters in your apps. The front-facing camera determines the exact position of the ring on your hand and recognizes and tracks the movement of the iRing's triangular or horizontal pattern recognition markers. You can control up to six parameters simultaneously.

Creating dramatic real-time effects for music production, nonstop dance music, and groove is now incredibly easy. Simply move your hand... something you do every day. So, try controlling music and effects with your hand and iRing without stopping the groove.

・Engine: iRing FX/Control App
At the heart of the iRing concept is the free iRing FX/Control app. It does all the heavy lifting. The iRing FX/Control app uses iRing technology to detect your movements, convert them into the necessary information to control effects, and send it to your music app. Because the iRing control function works silently in the background, your iOS device appears unchanged.

The iRing FX/Control app is also a multi-effects processor, supporting Inter-App Audio and AudioBus. This means you can add iRing-controlled audio effects to your other favorite music apps. The iRing FX/Control app offers 16 high-quality, creative effects, ranging from standard effects like filters, delays, compressors, reverbs, and wahs to creative DJ-friendly effects like stutters, fuzzy effects, crushes, twists, breaks, spins, and tails. The iRing FX/Control app is available as a free download from the App Store.
