■ Vintage-style truss rod nuts have thin, wide grooves and are made of soft metal. For this reason, using a regular-sized driver can damage the nut. This is evidenced by the many damaged truss rod nut heads seen on vintage guitars and basses. CruzTOOLS has developed a driver specifically for the truss rod nuts of these vintage guitars and basses. The ""Cheater Driver"" allows for simple adjustments without removing the neck.
