■Using the skills and experience of our guitar craftsmen, this guitar reproduces an unparalleled dynamic range and volume balance. From the handcrafted inlays to the ultra-thin lacquer finish, the L36 Series' concept of ""luxury"" is clearly expressed.
A.R.E. [Acoustic Resonance Enhancement] is a wood modification technology developed exclusively by Yamaha. By applying this technology to guitar body materials, it delivers a rich, mellow tone reminiscent of years of playing. By precisely controlling temperature, humidity, and air pressure without the use of any chemicals, this technology rapidly produces changes similar to those experienced over time in wood after sawn. This improves sound transmission and vibration efficiency, promotes the extension of mid- and low-frequency components, and accelerates the attack and decay of high-frequency components. This results in a well-balanced, mature, warm sound with fewer harsh overtones.
The non-scalloped X-bracing structure used in the ""L Series"" has been further refined using the latest analytical and modeling technology and expert craftsmanship. It maximizes the natural resonance of the wood, delivering a deeper, richer mid- and low-range tone.
Improvements have been made to every detail, including string spacing, string height, fingerboard binding, and neck taper. This creates a new neck shape that better suits guitarists. The newly designed neck provides a stable grip and smooth playability from high to low positions. The neck-body joint shape previously used in custom models has also been adopted for the L36 Series and L26 Series. The larger joint area improves vibration transmission efficiency, resulting in deeper sustain.
■ All models feature a double-action truss rod that applies force in both forward and backward bow directions, allowing for more precise neck adjustment.
■ The lacquer finish is carefully applied in multiple layers by skilled technicians. This finish maximizes the wood's vibration transmission capabilities, resulting in quick sound response and rich resonance.
