■ Audio interface

The RME MADIface XT is the world's first USB3 compatible, the world's smallest portable audio interface that can handle hundreds of audio channels. In addition, USB 2.0 compatible (*) and a unique PCI Express port that can be connected to an external PCI Express card / Thunderbolt adapter realizes high compatibility and connectivity, and has the maximum number of channels and minimum latency We provide the most advanced interface technology that can be realized with our unit.

MADIface XT features two digitally controlled mic/line preamps, two balanced outputs and one stereo phone output for use as a complete I/O set in the live or in the studio. There are endless possibilities to use, such as fully standalone operation that can be remotely controlled via MADI, and TotalMix FX that offers unlimited mixing, routing, and processing.

RME Advanced Remote Control (option), which provides more convenient desktop operation, can be connected to the MADIface XT itself for remote control.

*With USB 2.0 connection, data input/output with the computer is limited to 70 channels.

*Sufficient CPU and memory are required according to the operating environment of the audio application. Further details on the operating environment of USB 3.0 are described in the user guide.

*Compatibility information as of December 2013

It is fully compatible with Intel USB 3, which is part of the current Windows and Mac computer chipset. USB 3 terminals connected by internet cable (not soldered directly to the motherboard) may cause transfer errors. These errors are displayed in the driver's Settings dialog.

Compatible with NEC/Renesas USB3. Actual performance and error-free operation will depend on the firmware version, driver version, and expansion card or motherboard PCB layout used.
