It's an upgraded version of the model that won the Grand Prize in the ""1st SPI Homemade Effects Contest"" held by ""THE EFFECTOR book"" (Shinko Music). The internal circuitry boosts the 9V power supply to 17V (+-8.5V), delivering a bright, powerful sound with a distinctive midrange that's full of rock flair. The Drive/Volume combination allows you to create a wide variety of sounds, from a clean boost that adds crispness and brilliance to the input signal to an overdrive that dynamically drives the amp. The wide-ranging Treble/Bass two-band EQ effectively boosts or cuts the desired frequency range, providing flexibility to suit any situation, regardless of whether you're using single-coil or humbucking pickups.
