The Orange Whip Compressor is an extremely simple and compact compressor pedal. Its tiny 5.0cm x 5.0cm housing makes it easy to fit on a pedalboard. Based on the legendary Orange Squeezer circuit, it has been improved in various ways to suit modern stage performances. This circuit is renowned for its transparent yet subtle compression. It adds thickness to clean chords and enhances solo presence. It also makes your guitar's volume knob more effective and gives you more control over the gain of distorted amps and distortion effects. The pedal can be turned on and off by pressing the footswitch. When on, the LED indicator lights up. When off, the circuit is completely removed from the signal (true bypass). The Orange Whip Compressor has two internal trim pots. The multi-turn trimmer is the Bias trimmer, which adjusts the bias of the circuit. The factory setting is set to match a typical pickup, but if you need stronger compression, turn this trimmer clockwise, or counterclockwise if you need more attack. Please note that turning it too far clockwise may result in increased noise, while turning it too far counterclockwise may result in a loss of volume. The other single-turn trimmer is the Volume trimmer, which adjusts the volume. Adjusting the Bias trimmer usually requires adjusting the Volume trimmer as well. The factory setting is set to achieve unity gain when used with a fully turned-up guitar, but the volume may vary depending on your equipment, so adjust it to suit your environment. Depending on the batch, the Volume trimmer may be larger or smaller than the Bias trimmer. While there is no difference in tone, turning the smaller trimmer counterclockwise increases the volume, while turning the larger trimmer clockwise increases the volume.
