The Green Zapper Auto Filter is a warm, musical auto-filter pedal that dynamically transforms your guitar sound. This pedal uses a bandpass filter, adjusting its frequency range to match your playing. The filter reaches its highest frequency with your initial attack, then gradually drops as the sound decays. Even if the frequency isn't fully reduced, it will rise again with your next attack. In other words, it creates an effect similar to a wah pedal that automatically adjusts to your playing dynamics. Its compact 5.0cm x 5.0cm housing makes it easy to fit on a pedalboard. The pedal can be turned on and off by pressing the footswitch. When on, the LED indicator lights up. When off, the circuit is completely removed from the signal (true bypass). The Green Zapper Auto Filter features two internal trimmers. The two trimmers adjust the range and sensitivity. The factory settings are tuned for typical single-coil pickups. If using with humbuckers or bass, you may want to lower the sensitivity to avoid high-frequency noise. When flipping the pedal over with the footswitch facing you, you'll find one trimmer near the center of the circuit and one near the front right. The center trimmer is the frequency range trimmer, which adjusts the frequency range over which the bandpass filter operates. The front right trimmer is the sensitivity trimmer, which adjusts the pedal's sensitivity to your playing. Depending on the batch, the two trimmers are either large or small (Phillips screw type). While there is no difference in tone, turning the small trimmer counterclockwise widens the range and decreases the sensitivity, while turning the large trimmer clockwise lowers the sensitivity. Adjust while listening to the sound. The sensitivity control, in particular, is very sensitive, operating at around 20% from maximum. A small adjustment can have a huge effect.
