A fully discrete, fully matched balanced AVALON DESIGN 4th generation pure Class A microphone preamplifier.

The dual-mono AD2022 delivers all the original sonic performance and transparency of the legendary M2, M2 mk2, and M5 preamps, featuring an input impedance switch for optimal microphone matching, a fully over-the-top high-power, high-voltage Class A regulated power supply, high-impedance instrument inputs (DI inputs) on each channel, variable passive high-pass filters, and Teflon-jacketed silver wire.

上質で透明で音楽的

現在は、鍵盤系打ち込みのアナログ出し、アコギのリアンプ、コーラスセクションのリアンプ、2mix書き出し、マスタリングなど大活躍です。
音は上質で艶もありつつ、各音に軽く張りももたせてくれるので、デジタルサウンドでギスギスし始めたmixを整えたり、分離させたり、融合させたりなど、通すだけで1枚も2枚も上の音へイザナってくれます。
それでも、2022を使ってあらためて感じたのは、マイクの重要性、ケーブルの重要性、オーディオインターフェースの重要性、ケーブルの重要性、電源の重要性・・
要は、それなりの機材ではそれなりの限界があり、かと言ってコストをかけ始めると異常にかかる・・
でも、かけた時に全てのハードとソフトが良ければ、素晴らしい音になるということ。
1点豪華主義では意味がないのがツライとこですが、それでもこの2022は本当にデザインも含めて音も美しい。
