カウベルと言うとしばしばドラムスに取り付けて叩くタイプになりますので、ハンドホールド・タイプを探すのに苦労しました。（お茶の水で探すよりこちらが早くて安かったです）
大きさ、重さ、音はバッチリで、オーソドックスなカンカンいう音に加え、端を利用した高い音や、空洞部を利用した早いストローク等も問題なく使用でき、ドラムに付けないパーカッションとして全く過不足ありません。
