The SCX1 is a studio condenser microphone designed for a variety of recording, broadcast, and live applications.

The lineup includes the cardioid model SCX1, the matching cardioid pair SCX1MP, the hypercardioid model SCX1HC, and the omnidirectional model SCX1O.

This condenser microphone features high sensitivity, pinpoint accuracy, and compactness.

Its flat acoustic response from 40 Hz to 20 kHz ensures consistent on-axis and off-axis response, and excellent phase coherence.

The SCX1's wide cardioid polar pattern makes it ideal for recording drum overheads, instruments, ambience, orchestral sections, strings, piano, sound effects, group vocals, and spoken word.

The SCX1HC's narrow hypercardioid polar pattern makes it ideal for recording hi-hats and commentary applications where aesthetics are paramount.

The microphone capsule features a 21mm gold-deposited diaphragm and is housed in a compact housing. Supports sound pressure levels of 130dB and can reject up to 20dB of environmental noise.
