""The pinnacle of reproduction modeling, the legendary Tone Bender MK1.""
""The 1965 Tone Bender. Creamy sustain.""
Manlay Sound's The 65 Bender is a replica of the legendary Tone Bender MK1. The Tone Bender MK1 is famously used by Jeff Beck in his Yardbirds days and Pete Towngent of The Who, but perhaps its most memorable sound was played by Mick Ronson of ""Spiders From Mars,"" who supported David Bowie's sound during his Ziggy days.
The thick, boomy sound and creamy, long sustain of the Les Paul and Tone Bender are emblematic of the glam rock sound.
The 65 Bender uses germanium transistors to create a warm fuzz sound characterized by a compressed midrange.
■Distorted sound that brings out individual notes even when playing chords
■Responds well to volume controls and has a wide range of variations
■Makes a great combination with a wah pedal
■Thick, gorgeous, long sustain
