Manlay Sound's The Aladdin is a fuzz pedal characterized by its powerful low-end and midrange, and ultra-long sustain. It features various upgrades based on the circuitry of the EH Axis (Guild Foxey Lady), which paved the way for the Big Muff.
The nasty, boomy, silicon-like, pulsating, emotional sound, and astonishing volume are exactly what you'd expect from the graphic design: the guitar sound of glam-era Mick Ronson. The distinctive fuzz sound, with its peak in the low-mid range, is a powerful sound also common to 1960s garage sounds. It's also a great fit for the riff in The Rolling Stones' ""Satisfaction."" A mini toggle switch on the top allows you to switch between a treble-emphasized sound and a more powerful sound with a more prominent low-mid range.
It also responds quickly to your guitar's volume control, allowing you to precisely adjust the amount of distortion. It's a fantastic sound, recreating the ultimate fuzz tone, with a swaying, sobbing sound that lies just beyond the powerful, sustained tone.
