""The ultimate Arbiter Fuzz Face clone.""
""A germanium transistor version of the vintage Fuzz Face.""
Manlay Sound's Baby Face is a replica of the vintage Arbiter Fuzz Face. The lineup varies by color, as shown below. Blue uses germanium transistors, while red uses silicon. The Fuzz Face circuitry directly reflects the characteristics of the components in the sound, so recreating the authentic classic sound of the 60s and 70s requires considerable effort. The skill of a master builder determines everything.
The Baby Face is the ultimate classic Fuzz Face clone, crafted by Roman of Spain, who hand-selected the transistors and repeatedly tested them to achieve the optimal sound. From a sound worthy of the description ""Scream & Cry"" to clean, psychedelic chords when the guitar volume is turned down a little, this pedal truly conveys the touch of the strings.
The transistor type is germanium (2B324, AC125). It has a wonderful, solid sound that stands out even in an ensemble. The high-frequency wildness (especially the end of the sustain) is stronger than the NT275, giving it a nastier impression. Battery-powered only.
*As this is handmade and uses vintage parts, it may take several months for delivery.
