""A masterpiece of overdrive that carries on the classic rock sound of that era.""
""The searing rock sound of 1968.""
Manlay Sound's The Sound is the company's first overdrive-sound guitar effects pedal. The Marshall amps used by The Who's Pete Towngent, as well as Eric Clapton and Peter Green in the mid-1960s, were originally designed around the Fender Bassman. The Sound recreates the overdrive sound of those amps that defined rock music at the time.
The harmonics of FET transistors bring back the full-bore sound of Marshall amps from that era. The Sound also conveys picking nuances better than any other pedal. The sound responds with exquisite sensitivity to the pick's attack and dynamics. The Sound is so impactful it's likely to drive the TS9 and OCD off your pedalboard. The greatest appeal of this unit is its authentic classic rock sound, a result of Roman's fascination with and fascination with rock sounds, as he continues to release albums as a musician himself.
