The TD-11 V-Drums sound module is equipped with the V-Drums SuperNATURAL sound engine inherited from its higher-end models. Its foundation is proprietary ""Behavior Modeling Technology,"" which reproduces the behavior of individual instruments. For example, it realistically reproduces the distinctive snare drum resonance and snares of a drum set. You get a comfortable playing feel and natural, expressive sound.

The TD-11 V-Drums sound module is ideal for training, and is packed with useful features, including ""Coach Mode"" for individual practice. Practice in an ensemble while listening to immersive backing songs via audio data. Use a USB flash drive to play along with your favorite songs (WAV/MP3) and adjust the playback speed (80-120%) for effective practice. The included CD-ROM contains 60 original practice songs, which can also be used for practice. USB AUDIO/MIDI compatibility allows connection to a PC with a single cable. Combine it with the free social tool for drummers, ""V-Drums Freind Jam,"" or the separately sold V-Drums Tutor DT-1 drum practice software for even more comprehensive practice possibilities.

■The TD-11K-S is a V-Compact series instrument featuring a V-Pad snare.
The toms are padded with rubber PD-8A pads, while the snare, the key to drumming, uses a mesh-head V-Pad (PDX-8). This kit combines the natural playability required for practice with cost-effectiveness.
*The PD-8A is the original pad for the TD-11K-S. It does not support rim shots.

現状で同価格帯のYamaha　DTX522Kと比較して購入しました。
実際に楽器店で試奏させてもらって、ローランドのこちらを選びました。
まず私はドラム初心者でして
何度か生ドラムを叩いたことはありますが（自宅に生ドラムが置いてあったことがあります）、本パートではなく、基本の８ビートが叩けるレベルです。
ですので、そのレベルの人間が感じたファーストインプレッションということをご留意下さい。
試奏する前は、データ的にも新製品のYamahaに惹かれてました。
音色もあちらの方が多いですし、シンバルのトリガー数もあちらの方が多いようです。
結果的にローランドを選んだ理由は。
・独特な打感がよいという評判のスネア（Yamaha XP80）が、わたしには「固めのシリコンゴムを叩いてる」という風にしか感じられず（微妙に減衰する感覚）、余り魅力的ではなかった。
・キックを踏んだ感覚が、ローランドの方がわたしの感じる「リアル感」としては、数段上だったという点。
音色は好みが強いと思いますし、サンプルも聞けると思いますが、個人的には迷った２機種に限って言えばYamahaの方が多少良いかと思いましたが
前記も含め、数々のアドバンテージを考えても、キックとスネアの感覚が決め手でした。
とにかく、試奏されることをお勧めします。
パッケージに関して
ドラムセット本体と、ラックセットの箱、２つに分かれています。
（ペダルやスローンなどのオプションは別箱です）
イメージ的には２つの箱を合わせて、一般家庭の洗濯機くらいの大きさです。
自動車での運搬をおすすめします。
この電子ドラムの生音ですが、家で叩くとなかなか大きく感じます。
割と大きな音量で、自由に音楽が聴ける環境でないと、心置きなくドラムを楽しむというのは難しいかと思います。
スネアの生音はYamahaのほうがかなり静かでした（まあ騒音はキック音がネックだと思いますが）。
ハイハットの開閉は最初ちょっと違和感がありましたが、しばらく演奏しているうちに慣れてきました。
ただ、まだ生ドラムを叩く機会がないので、比較したら「え´？」と思うかも知れません。
