The audio-technica AT4050ST is a stereo condenser microphone with a large twin diaphragm. This stereo version of the world-famous best-selling AT4050 features two switchable stereo modes: MS Direct, LR Wide, and LR Narrow. The newly developed ""Double Wave Diaphragm (PAT.P.)"" and unique transformerless circuitry ensure a flat frequency response, wide dynamic range, and low noise.

- While retaining the same large-diameter 1-inch twin diaphragm that delivers excellent directional characteristics across a wide frequency range, it features independent, high-sensitivity microphone units with cardioid and bidirectional patterns. It can be set to MS Direct or two stereo modes: LR Wide (127°) and LR Narrow (90°). It is suitable for a variety of applications, from ambient recording in the studio, where accurate positioning is required, to on-location surround recording.
