Compared to the original HAPI Drum, the HAPI UFO Drum is slightly larger, measuring 38 cm in diameter. It also has 11 notes, compared to the original's 8.
The HAPI UFO Drum's notes are arranged in the 11 notes of the C major scale: D3, E3, F3, G3, A3, B3, C4, D4, E4, F4, and G4. This allows you to play scales such as the C major diatonic scale, the nine pentatonic scales, and the A minor diatonic scale.
While the original HAPI Drum is assigned one scale per unit, the UFO Drum can play over 10 different scales on a single unit, making it a HAPI Drum for advanced players with a significantly expanded range of uses.
