The Octatrack is a stereo 8-track performance sampler. Recording audio is extremely straightforward thanks to the intuitive user interface, but the real fun begins once you import it into the Octatrack...

Loop material remains in sync regardless of tempo or pitch, and changing the sequencer tempo will not change pitch. All the hassles of sampling are a thing of the past.

CompactFlash cards allow instant access to vast amounts of samples.
The USB port is ideal for transferring audio files between the Octatrack and your computer.

Many of the Octatrack's parameters can be assigned to the crossfader, dramatically expanding the possibilities for live control.
