Volume2 is a volume controller designed specifically for stereo applications. Many DA converters and sound cards require signal level changes at the converter output, resulting in lower bit depth in the monitoring signal and a loss of sound quality. Therefore, the active circuit design avoids the loss of linearity caused by impedance changes that occur in passive circuits.
