The CAB DRIVER is a test tool that uses a built-in pink noise generator to check the components inside a speaker enclosure. A selector switch allows you to audibly verify the proper operation of the woofer, midrange cone, and compression driver. The XLR male connector provides a line output from the pink noise generator, making it ideal for testing self-powered speakers.

Clicking the DC test button displays the resistance value of the connected component via three LEDs: 4, 8, and 16. This allows you to check the status of components that cannot be determined by sound alone.

便利ではあるけれどあまりに高価すぎ

スピーカーテストツールとしてはとても便利です。
NL4だけでなくNL8もチェックできるものは意外と多くありません。
しかし内蔵アンプの出力はかなり小さいです。たぶん1～2Wあるかどうかくらい？ボリューム調整できるとありますがフルテンじゃないと聞こえないくらい小さいので、いっそオンオフだけでもいいくらい。
小型アンプモジュール組み立てキットなら1000円以下、mp3プレーヤー機能がついても2000円以下で買えますから、金属筐体の分を考えてもあまりに高価すぎます。適正価格は2万円以下、せめて1万円くらいに感じます。
「あれば便利」ですが「絶対に自分では購入しない」製品ですね…。
