ROSENDAHL / MIF4

An interface that converts between MTC (MIDI time code) and LTC (also known as SMPTE time code) in both directions, synchronizing the time axes of various devices.

■MIDI Timecode Interface

The MIF simultaneously generates LTC or MTC from an input LTC or MTC source. This allows for conversion from LTC to MTC and vice versa, as well as refreshing LTC or MTC. The MTC source output by computer-based DAW systems is jittery and unstable. Rosendahl Studiotecknik's proprietary sync algorithm eliminates timecode jitter and dropouts, ensuring a stable production environment.

The USB-MIDI interface allows for easy integration into a DAW system by connecting directly to a computer (Windows XP or later, Mac OSX). The video sync input also generates timecode synchronized with SD/HD video. The front-panel timecode display is now larger and easier to read. It operates via USB bus power, but an external power supply is included for standalone operation. A 19-inch rack mount kit is also included.
