This spring reverb unit is equipped with the same AccuBell (formerly Accutronics) reverb tank found in classic Hammond organs and Fender guitar amplifiers.
■Tube Spring Reverb
The ReTubeVerb Mk2 features the same Accutronics reverb tank found in classic Hammond organs and Fender guitar amplifiers.
This custom-built model of the company's top-of-the-line Type 9 reverb tank boasts six of the longest 30cm springs with different characteristics. The long springs produce a rich, rich reverb sound.
All audio signal circuits—input stage, drive amp, recovery amp, and output stage—are constructed with high-voltage drive vacuum tubes (two ECC83s and one ECC81) and other high-quality components. The absence of any transistors or ICs allows for a warm, slightly compressed, pure tube sound, perfect for enjoying spring reverb effects. The reverb sound can also be adjusted using a three-band equalizer.
A true bypass circuit completely bypasses the audio signal from the internal electronics when the effect is turned off. The input and output terminals are equipped with both unbalanced (phone) and balanced (XLR) terminals, making it ideal for studio use.
The level indicator also uses a vacuum tube (EM84) known as the ""Magic Eye."" It features a beautiful bar graph-type indicator with green light on both sides that contracts in accordance with the signal level and volume. Not only does it help with level adjustment, but it also adds a touch of illumination to enhance the ambiance. A 19-inch rack mount kit is included.
