This line mixer mixes the main signal with the signal from an effects device connected to the send/return jack, and sends it to an amplifier or other device. The proportion of the main signal in the mix can be adjusted with the MIX Level control.

In addition to the main signal input, the send/return jacks also support both high and low impedance. This makes it possible to mix the low-impedance signal from an electric guitar with the high-impedance signal from a rack effect.
