The polypropylene cone and butyl rubber edge provide excellent durability, even in humid environments. The large back can amplifies low-frequency response and produces a warm tone. It incorporates a passive crossover for the Control 42C, and can also be used as an active crossover subwoofer with the Control 47C/T, 47LP, 47HC, and the existing Control Contractor Series.
