The PQ-9000-00 is a 3.16mm wide String Saver saddle for acoustic guitars. Its black finish complements the instrument's design perfectly. String Saver releases Teflon micromolecules as the string vibrates, minimizing string friction and minimizing tuning drift. This produces a deeper, more defined tone and ultimately improves sustain.

String Saver dramatically improves string breakage resistance and sustain compared to metal saddles.
String Saver creates a thin Teflon film as the string moves and vibrates against the saddle. This acts as a lubricant, preventing the string from being excessively fixed against the saddle and spreading the stress that tends to be concentrated in one spot over a wider area. This is how string breakage is reduced. String Saver saddles produce a deep, crisp sound, reminiscent of a vintage steel saddle, and ultimately improve sustain.
