■ The art of analog processing, Voodoo-Vibe, has been updated. Voodoo-Vibe+ adds a square wave to classic waveforms, enabling a wider variety of sweeps. The sweep generator and symmetry range have also been expanded, allowing for even more advanced effects. Voodoo-Vibe+ faithfully reproduces the modified sound that Roger Mayer created for Jimi Hendrix.
■ Looking back, before the birth of Voodoo-Vibe, Roger Mayer created Supervibe, a next-generation Uni-Vive used by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Robin Trower. Next came the Voodoo-Vibe, which added tremolo to the chorus/vibrato effects, and was released in the early '90s. It quickly became a favorite among top players. Now, the even more powerful Voodoo-Vibe+ has arrived.
■The Voodoo-Vibe is constructed entirely with analog circuitry, achieving a full sound not possible with digital effects. Digital effects can degrade guitar tone at full dynamic range due to digital zipper noise. However, the Voodoo-Vibe+'s audio path is entirely constructed with Class A discrete components. This results in ultra-low noise and clear sound quality, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 102dB, approximately 12dB higher than CD. Furthermore, the power supply filtering function minimizes noise even when using an AC adapter.
