The TUSQ XL series maintains correct tuning longer than any other synthetic resin nut, such as graphite or plastic. It also produces a crystal-clear tone, resulting in improved sustain. The fact that TUSQ XL is used by guitar manufacturers worldwide is proof of its reliability.
TUSQ XL releases Teflon micromolecules when the strings vibrate. TUSQ XL, coated with these molecules, minimizes string friction and reduces tuning errors. These Teflon molecules are released from the nut, so they never disappear and maintain their lubricating effect.
