The PS-8440-00 is an original String Saver saddle for the TUNE-O-MATIC bridge and VADASS models with an EPIPHONE stamp at the bottom. The String Saver creates a thin Teflon membrane as the string moves and vibrates against the saddle, reducing string breakage and improving tuning stability. It also delivers the deep, crisp tone and rich sustain of a vintage saddle.

String Saver dramatically improves string breakage resistance and sustain compared to metal saddles.
String Saver creates a thin Teflon film as the string moves and vibrates against the saddle. This acts as a lubricant, preventing the string from being excessively fixed against the saddle and spreading the stress that tends to be concentrated in one spot over a wider area. This reduces string breakage. String Saver saddles produce a deep, crisp sound, similar to that of a vintage steel saddle, resulting in improved sustain.
