Vintage NEVE 1073 Popular Version

The X73i is a popular version of the legendary X73, which remains the number one choice among the many NEVE 1073 replicas. Designer Dallas Upton, who has meticulously studied the vintage NEVE sound for many years, has created this ambitious design, leveraging the highest quality components and luxurious design and construction to create a truly affordable amplifier.

Each high-end X73 is carefully handcrafted using premium components, including the gain controller switch and custom-made input transformers for the line and mic inputs. Designer Dallas Upton oversees production from start to finish. As a result, production volumes are extremely limited, making this an extremely rare piece. The uncompromising pursuit of high-end quality produces the ultimate vintage sound.

The X73i features the same mic preamp and EQ circuit architecture as the X73, but at a lower cost. You can now enjoy the coveted vintage sound of the NEVE 1073 in your home studio. The expensive, custom-made input transformer is shared between mic and line, and the gold contact switches from ELMA, a premium rotary switch brand, have been replaced with GRAY HILL switches (these highly reliable GRAY HILL switches are used in many professional audio products, including MANLEY Labs). In addition, by mounting the rotary switch directly on the circuit board, manual labor time is significantly reduced, enabling a more efficient production process without sacrificing sound quality.
